Miguel Baldaia came out of the goal and Afonso Faro tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Gil Paredes kicked well hit freekick during the 6th minute of the match. U.D.S.Mamede's Raul Amorim played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Benedito Gaspar in the 9th minute of play. Ilídio Pádua could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 10th minute of the match, but Raul Amorim made a huge save. Raul Amorim showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sabino Borba in the 17th minute of the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Ilídio Pádua got free with Raul Amorim in the 19th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. With a little luck, U.D.S.Mamede's Raul Amorim got control of the ball when Severino Barros tried to sneak it across the goal line. If Afonso Faro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 26th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After a rather tough play, U.D.S.Mamede's Gil Paredes got a free kick in the 33rd minute. With a little luck, U.D.S.Mamede's Raul Amorim got control of the ball when Ilídio Pádua tried to sneak it across the goal line. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Sabino Borba stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Juliano Fidalgo kicked well hit freekick during the 52nd minute of the match. 63 minutes into the match, Afonso Faro dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Miguel Baldaia, 0-1. After some careless play in the U.D.S.Mamede defense, Ilídio Pádua kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Raul Amorim. The U.D.S.Mamede fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Raul Amorim should have stopped the shot. Raul Amorim showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sabino Borba, who was totally free with the ball in the 71st minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Ilídio Pádua in the 74th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Raul Amorim prevented the ball from getting in the gole. U.D.S.Mamede's Raul Amorim played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sabino Borba in the 75th minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Ilídio Pádua in the 77th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Raul Amorim prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Jaime Santos blasted a shot towards the goal in the 79th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Miguel Baldaia having to make a save. 81 minutes into the match, U.D.S.Mamede's goal looked a bit too open when Sabino Borba came free, but Raul Amorim reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A collision led to U.D.S.Mamede getting a freekick after 83 minutes play. Gil Paredes hit a great ball. Raul Amorim showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ilídio Pádua, who was totally free with the ball in the 86th minute. In the 87th minute, Afonso Faro got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Gil Paredes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 91st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 95th minute, Ilídio Pádua left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The SC Pousos fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-1. For all the effort they put into the match, the U.D.S.Mamede players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for SC Pousos.
