Fernando Cunha was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 4th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Mário Tavares. UNIVERSALAGELTEAM's Paulo Pinho got a good chance for a goal in the 7th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If João Andrade had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 15th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 18th minute, SC Outeirais's David Vaz dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-0. Filipe Leal sent away a hard shot on goal in the 22nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 24th minute, João Andrade made a precise shot to the right of Tomás Maia. SC Outeirais's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1. With a little luck, UNIVERSALAGELTEAM's Fernando Cunha got control of the ball when Marco Delgado tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 31st minute Filipe Leal shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tomás Maia saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Filipe Leal charged in rather forcefully in the 34th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. Filipe Leal hit a great ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 37th minute, Filipe Leal managed to get in a good position for a shot. UNIVERSALAGELTEAM's supporters rose to their feet, but Filipe Leal was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Tomás Maia breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Tomás Maia took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from João Andrade, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Filipe Leal fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 40th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tomás Maia having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in SC Outeirais's zone, Filipe Leal stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Tomás Maia came out of the goal and Filipe Leal tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Filipe Leal sent away a hard shot on goal in the 44th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When Manuel Mota fell near the penalty area in the 47th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored SC Outeirais's protests and gave Manuel Mota a yellow card for diving instead. Manuel Mota kicked well hit freekick during the 47th minute of the match. André Moutinho's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Tomás Maia read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 48th minute of play. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The wind increased when David Vaz made the kick off in the second half. In the 53rd minute of the match SC Outeirais got a corner. UNIVERSALAGELTEAM's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Mário Tavares ran over to the corner to take the kick. In the 56th minute Marco Delgado shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fernando Cunha saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Tomás Maia showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Paulo Pinho, who was totally free with the ball in the 57th minute. Paulo Pinho recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 60th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Armando Luz hit a great freekick 65 minutes into the match. 66 minutes into the game, Pedro Gonçalves was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. SC Outeirais's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave UNIVERSALAGELTEAM the free kick. Pedro Gonçalves kicked well hit freekick during the 67th minute of the match. The supporters of SC Outeirais booed when UNIVERSALAGELTEAM was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 68 match minutes in a wonderful position. André Moutinho didn't get a good kick on the ball. David Vaz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 69th minute. Fernando Cunha tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by David Vaz in the 72nd minute of play forced UNIVERSALAGELTEAM's goalkeeper Fernando Cunha to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The SC Outeirais fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Tomás Maia should have stopped the shot. Tomás Maia came out of the goal in the 80th minute to try and stop a shot by UNIVERSALAGELTEAM's Filipe Leal. But to his dismay, Filipe Leal quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-3. In the 84th match minute, UNIVERSALAGELTEAM was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Paulo Pinho to maneuver through the defense. After 86 played minutes SC Outeirais got a freekick which was hit by Manuel Mota. A collision led to UNIVERSALAGELTEAM getting a freekick after 87 minutes play. Paulo Pinho hit a great ball. In the 90th minute, Armando Luz hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a defensive mix-up in SC Outeirais's zone, João Andrade stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Tomás Maia came out of the goal and João Andrade tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. UNIVERSALAGELTEAM's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
