With a couple of smart ball manuevers Reginaldo Lucena in the 5th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Oliveira Macedo saved Moradia from getting behind. When Reginaldo Lucena got free in front of the goal in the 7th minute he wasn't very focused and chipped the ball just over the goal. Oliveira Macedo was delighted since he was out of position and the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. The supporters of SLMADEIRENSE booed when Moradia was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 8 match minutes in a wonderful position. Domingos Castro didn't get a good kick on the ball. 12 minutes in the game, Pedro Monteiro fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Yuri Quintela having to interfere. In the 13th minute, Manuel Brites hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Pedro Monteiro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 16th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 18 minutes into the match, Moradia's goal looked a bit too open when Reginaldo Lucena came free, but Oliveira Macedo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Higino Camargo fell near the penalty area in the 20th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored SLMADEIRENSE's protests and gave Higino Camargo a yellow card for diving instead. In the 20th match minute, SLMADEIRENSE was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Higino Camargo to maneuver through the defense. Eusébio Aguiar fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 21st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Yuri Quintela having to interfere. Dércio Sacadura hit a great freekick 22 minutes into the match. The referee ignored Moradia's protests and gave Rui Cardoso a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Moradia getting a freekick after 34 minutes play. Rui Cardoso hit a great ball. Abílio Carvalhal fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 35th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Oliveira Macedo having to interfere. Eusébio Aguiar who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 39thth minute tested the skills of Yuri Quintela when he managed to save the team from getting behind. If Eusébio Aguiar had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 41st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a defensive mix-up in Moradia's zone, Reginaldo Lucena stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Oliveira Macedo came out of the goal and Reginaldo Lucena tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Pedro Monteiro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 48th minute. Yuri Quintela tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.

A collision led to SLMADEIRENSE getting a freekick after 60 minutes play. Eurico Oliveira hit a great ball. 62 minutes into the match, Eusébio Aguiar had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Yuri Quintela. SLMADEIRENSE's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Eusébio Aguiar was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-0. SLMADEIRENSE's Yuri Quintela played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Pedro Monteiro in the 66th minute of play. If Reginaldo Lucena had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 69th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Abílio Carvalhal could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 70th minute of the match, but Oliveira Macedo made a huge save. With a little luck, Moradia's Oliveira Macedo got control of the ball when Abílio Carvalhal tried to sneak it across the goal line. Yuri Quintela stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Eusébio Aguiar's shot from short distance in the 74th minute. If Pedro Monteiro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 76th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Moradia's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
