The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. A collision led to Alcantarilha getting a freekick after 2 minutes play. The crowd rose to their feet as Juliano Barros kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving José Oliveira. That made the score 1-0 in the 20 minute of play. Emanuel Coelho fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 25th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mauro Carmo having to interfere. In the 26th minute, Estevão Guimarães hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Mauro Carmo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Domingos Cruz in the 30th minute of the match. Elias Calçada sent away a hard shot on goal in the 32nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The audience thought a goal was coming when Elias Calçada got free with José Oliveira in the 40th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Domingos Cruz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 46th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Emanuel Coelho stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. When Emanuel Coelho came up free with the goalie in the 61st minute, the Alcantarilha fans jumped to their feet. When the match had gone on for 86 minutes, Domingos Cruz put it in 2-1 from a short distance just to the right of Mauro Carmo. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Parroselos FC fans cheered their team off the field, for while Alcantarilha had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
