The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Basílio Bessa could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 4th minute of the match, but Alberto Pires made a huge save. Boimo FC's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Diamantino Alves in the 5th minute. 11 minutes into the match, Boimo FC's goal looked a bit too open when Gustavo Setúbal came free, but Afonso Cardoso reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Manuel Monteiro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 12th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Júlio Barros kicked well hit freekick during the 17th minute of the match. Basílio Bessa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 20th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alberto Pires having to interfere. With his leg Alberto Pires managed to avoid a goal in the 25thth minute, when Boimo FC's Basílio Bessa fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Óscar Abreu in the 26th minute of play forced SC Bobeses's goalkeeper Alberto Pires to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Basílio Bessas short, quick shot in the 29thth minute got Alberto Pires to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. With a little luck, SC Bobeses's Alberto Pires got control of the ball when Basílio Bessa tried to sneak it across the goal line. 32 minutes into the game, one of SC Bobeses:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. In the 33rd minute, Boimo FC got a penalty, and Diamantino Alves placed the ball unsaveable into goal, by the right post. 36 minutes into the match, Gustavo Setúbal notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of Boimo FC's Afonso Cardoso. Afonso Cardoso was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 43rdth minute of the game Gustavo Setúbal who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Boimo FC's Afonso Cardoso was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Óscar Abreu stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Afonso Cardoso made an important save on a dangerous shot by Manuel Monteiro in the 56th minute. Boimo FC's Afonso Cardoso played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gustavo Setúbal in the 57th minute of play. When Basílio Bessa came up free with the goalie in the 59th minute, the Boimo FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Basílio Bessa couldn't finish the play. SC Bobeses's Júlio Barros got his second yellow card of the match in the 60th minute. The referee ordered Júlio Barros off the ground. After 61 played minutes SC Bobeses got a freekick which was hit by Júlio Barros. If Óscar Abreu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 68th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, SC Bobeses's Duarte Anjos got a free kick in the 71st minute. Alberto Pires made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Basílio Bessa in the 78th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Basílio Bessa in the 79th minute of play forced SC Bobeses's goalkeeper Alberto Pires to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Óscar Abreu in the 80th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Alberto Pires saved SC Bobeses from getting behind. Basílio Bessa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 83rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alberto Pires having to interfere. After having played for 93 minutes, Óscar Abreu managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Boimo FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Óscar Abreu was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Neither set of supporters seemed pleased with the draw, but both teams had played equally well today.
