Urban Eskilsson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 16th minute. Honorato Neiva tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The referee ignored Hard Nose's protests and gave Lucas Pinheiro a yellow card for diving instead. After 45 minutes of play, Atlético de Alcains's Juha-Pekka Eklund made it 1-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Honorato Neiva was left in no man's land by his defense there! Disappointed in the 1-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The wind increased when Rubim Lucena made the kick off in the second half. Patrício Fagundes missed a clear chance of a goal when in the 53 minute of the game fired away a shot, but unfortunally the ball went out to the Enzo Águas right hand side. 55 minutes into the game, Adão Vilar was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Hard Nose's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Atlético de Alcains the free kick. Adão Vilar kicked well hit freekick during the 55th minute of the match. Honorato Neiva showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Juha-Pekka Eklund in the 57th minute of the match. Juha-Pekka Eklund in the 59thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Honorato Neiva, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. In the 61st minute, Cândido Monteiro ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Enzo Águas was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-2. An unexpectedly hard shot by Reinaldo Carrasqueira in the 64th minute of play forced Atlético de Alcains's goalkeeper Enzo Águas to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Hard Nose's Honorato Neiva played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Juha-Pekka Eklund in the 65th minute of play. In the 66th minute, Juha-Pekka Eklund fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. In the 68th minute, Urban Eskilsson left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Atlético de Alcains fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-3. Hard Nose's Adão Vilar got his second yellow card of the match in the 71st minute. The referee ordered Adão Vilar off the ground. The supporters of Atlético de Alcains booed when Hard Nose was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 71 match minutes in a wonderful position. Adão Vilar didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 73rd match minute, Atlético de Alcains was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Kristian Mattsson to maneuver through the defense. After a defensive mix-up in Atlético de Alcains's zone, Reinaldo Carrasqueira stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Enzo Águas came out of the goal and Reinaldo Carrasqueira tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 89th minute, Reinaldo Carrasqueira managed to get in a good position for a shot. Hard Nose's supporters rose to their feet, but Reinaldo Carrasqueira was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Enzo Águas breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Honorato Neiva made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Juha-Pekka Eklund in the 95th minute of play. When the match was over Atlético de Alcains could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Hard Nose throughout the match.
