Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Belchior Cerqueira started the match with the kick off. When Xavier Cruz came up free with the goalie in the 3rd minute, the SC Entiqueira fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Xavier Cruz couldn't finish the play. Xavier Cruz scored 0-1 in the 9th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Leonardo Tristão, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After 11 played minutes SC Entiqueira got a freekick which was hit by Xavier Cruz. 14 minutes into the match, SC Entiqueira's goalkeeper Gaspar Azevedo had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Gregório Gusmão. Leonardo Tristão made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Xavier Cruz in the 19th minute of play. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 20th minute of the game. One of Palmeiras :s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of SC Entiqueira:s goal. 27 minutes into the game, Simão Mota cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-3. Leonardo Tristão was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 0-4 became the score in the 36th minute when Simão Mota elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. Gaspar Azevedo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Olavo Cerqueira in the 43rd minute of the match. Gregório Gusmão fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 44th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gaspar Azevedo having to interfere. Palmeiras 's Belchior Cerqueira got a good chance for a goal in the 47th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After the first half SC Entiqueira were leading 0-4. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Xavier Cruz to make the kick off. Gregório Gusmão blasted a shot towards the goal in the 53rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Gaspar Azevedo having to make a save. 61 minutes into the match, Palmeiras 's goal looked a bit too open when Xavier Cruz came free, but Leonardo Tristão reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Xavier Cruz's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Leonardo Tristão read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 64th minute of play. Pedro Moutinho succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 0-6 in the 69th playminute. SC Entiqueira's Gaspar Azevedo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gregório Gusmão in the 79th minute of play. Xavier Cruz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 83rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Leonardo Tristão showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Xavier Cruz, who was totally free with the ball in the 85th minute. Simão Mota received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 90th minute. Leonardo Tristão tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Valentim Queiroga's late challenge caught a SC Entiqueira's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Valentim Queiroga helped the player get up and apologised. In the 91st minute, Valentim Queiroga hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Leonardo Tristão made a fantastic save in the 94th minute, when Simão Mota sent off a good shot on target. Leonardo Tristão showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Xavier Cruz in the 96th minute of the match. When the match was over SC Entiqueira could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Palmeiras throughout the match.
