The referee ignored Pedorido's protests and gave David Barbosa a yellow card for diving instead. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Lisandro Garcia stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. A hard shot 53 in the game by Gaspar Almeida from a close distance when the talented Armindo Manso managed to make a qualified save. Coelheira's players were relieved. António Carneiro showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Lisandro Garcia in the 59th minute of the match. The supporters of Coelheira booed when Pedorido was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 60 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gabriel Simões didn't get a good kick on the ball. António Carneiro was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 83 minutes into the match, Gaspar Almeida had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Armindo Manso. Coelheira's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Gaspar Almeida was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-2. The referee gave Pedorido a penalty, 92 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Bruno Cruz, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Coelheira's Armindo Manso. 2-3. Lisandro Guterres sent away a hard shot on goal in the 97th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
