Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. A collision led to Monforte getting a freekick after 16 minutes play. Zarco Malta hit a great ball. Through an outstanding action, after 23 minutes, Dimas Branco successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. After a rather tough play, Monforte's André Gomes got a free kick in the 24th minute. Rubim Castelo Branco received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 27th minute. Filipe Vieira tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Rubim Castelo Branco recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 30th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When Telmo Neves came up free with the goalie in the 34th minute, the Monforte fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Telmo Neves couldn't finish the play. Filipe Vieira didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Monforte. Farpado's Filipe Vieira played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rubim Castelo Branco in the 47th minute of play. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Filipe Dantas stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After some careless play in the Monforte defense, Mário Viana kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Dimas Branco. The Monforte fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Dimas Branco should have stopped the shot. Monforte's Dimas Branco played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mário Viana in the 56th minute of play. Dimas Branco showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mário Viana, who was totally free with the ball in the 63rd minute. When Mário Viana came up free with the goalie in the 70th minute, the Farpado fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Mário Viana couldn't finish the play. After having played for 80 minutes, Mário Viana managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Farpado's supporters crossed their fingers, but Mário Viana was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After having played for 82 minutes, Telmo Neves managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Xavier Carneiro kicked well hit freekick during the 83rd minute of the match. After 87 minutes of play, Farpado's Mário Viana made it 2-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Dimas Branco was left in no man's land by his defense there! Telmo Neves was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 93rd minute. Monforte's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance.
