André Palha made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from David Matos in the 4th minute of play. If Rui Aguiar had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 5th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. André Palha showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from David Matos, who was totally free with the ball in the 9th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rui Aguiar in the 10th minute of play forced Mancalva FC's goalkeeper André Palha to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 18 played minutes SC Ferrenha got a freekick which was hit by António Alves. When SC Ferrenha's Rui Aguiar in the 25th minute got a chance for a shot 25th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Pedro Jesus during the 43rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Mancalva FC booed when SC Ferrenha was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 43 match minutes in a wonderful position. Pedro Jesus didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 44th minute, Sálvio Bandeira managed to get in a good position for a shot. Mancalva FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Sálvio Bandeira was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Lúcio Paredes breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Ricardo Raminhos received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 46th minute. Lúcio Paredes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and David Matos made a kick off. If Sálvio Bandeira had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Ricardo Amaral during the 68th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. 76 minutes into the match, SC Ferrenha's goal looked a bit too open when Sálvio Bandeira came free, but Lúcio Paredes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 77th minute, Pedro Jesus hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 79th minute, Ricardo Raminhos made a precise shot to the right of Lúcio Paredes. SC Ferrenha's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1. André Palha made an important save on a dangerous shot by Rui Aguiar in the 84th minute. In the 87th minute, Sálvio Bandeira got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 1-2 became the score in the 90th minute when David Matos elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched SC Ferrenha eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
