Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Claudemiro Ribas in the 9th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Leandro Patrício prevented the ball from getting in the gole. When Jorge Lobato, who was free, got the in front of the goal in the 14 minute he wasn't focused and tipped the ball just over the goal. The Leandro Patrício was delighted since the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. When Lombega's Diego Paiva, in the 18th minute, received a pass right in front of the net, it looked like a certain goal, but his shot went outside. A wasted opportunity for Lombega. 24 minutes into the game, OS LEOES's Claudemiro Ribas nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Leandro Patrício made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. OS LEOES's Jorge Lobato suffered a concussion in the 28th minute, after a hard challenge, and had to leave the field. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 27th minute of the game. One of Lombega:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of OS LEOES:s goal. Inácio Leme's late challenge caught a OS LEOES's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Inácio Leme helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Lombega getting a freekick after 34 minutes play. Inácio Leme hit a great ball. Inácio Leme kicked well hit freekick during the 39th minute of the match. OS LEOES's Hildeberto Rego couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 40th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Lombega. In the 42nd match minute, Lombega was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Diego Paiva to maneuver through the defense. In the 48th minute the ball was on its way in behind Lombega's goalkeeper Leandro Patrício, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The Lombega players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. OS LEOES were winning 1-2.

Hélio Estrada struck a weak shot in the 52nd minute. Américo Rocha didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Lombega. After some fancy dribbling in the 54th minute, Hélio Estrada managed to get in a good position for a shot. Lombega's supporters rose to their feet, but Hélio Estrada was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Américo Rocha breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 55 played minutes OS LEOES got a freekick which was hit by Durval Baldaia. The corner led Lombega's Eusébio Vilela to fire away a dangerous shot which Américo Rocha despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Diego Paiva's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Américo Rocha read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 59th minute of play. The audience was convinced that Diego Paiva's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Américo Rocha was relentless in the 62nd minute of the game. An unexpectedly hard shot by Hélio Estrada in the 64th minute of play forced OS LEOES's goalkeeper Américo Rocha to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of Lombega booed when OS LEOES was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 80 match minutes in a wonderful position. Hildeberto Rego didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a defensive mix-up in OS LEOES's zone, Hélio Estrada stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Américo Rocha came out of the goal and Hélio Estrada tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Cristiano Ramalho hit a great freekick 84 minutes into the match. Hélio Estrada sent away a hard shot on goal in the 87th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Diego Paiva fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 88th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Américo Rocha having to interfere. 90 minutes into the game, Quintino Matos was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. OS LEOES's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Lombega the free kick. In the 90th match minute, OS LEOES was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Quintino Matos to maneuver through the defense. After a rather tough play, OS LEOES's Hildeberto Rego got a free kick in the 95th minute.
