After some careless play in the SC Moita defense, Rui Ferreira kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Mariano Leão. The SC Moita fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Mariano Leão should have stopped the shot. In the 34th minute, Ian Dalkvist hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Marco Ferreira stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Tomás Mendes's shot from short distance in the 35th minute. Thanks to some nice moves Sebastião Machado could shoot a difficult shot in the 36th minute, which Marco Ferreira however easily saved by the left post. Duarte Miranda sent away a hard shot on goal in the 38th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 45 minutes into the match, Sebastião Machado had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Marco Ferreira. Gemieira FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Sebastião Machado was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-3. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 2-3.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Tomás Mendes made a kick off. Gemieira FC's Marco Ferreira played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sebastião Machado in the 57th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tomás Mendes in the 60th minute of play forced Gemieira FC's goalkeeper Marco Ferreira to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After having played for 80 minutes, Vicente Martins managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Gemieira FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Vicente Martins was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 82 minutes into the match, Gemieira FC's Rui Ferreira sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Mariano Leão narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 83 minutes into the match, Gemieira FC's goal looked a bit too open when Sebastião Machado came free, but Marco Ferreira reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Cândido Gaspar sent away a hard shot on goal in the 88th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. In the 93rd minute Rui Ferreira shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mariano Leão saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Vicente Martins could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 95th minute of the match, but Mariano Leão made a huge save. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Gemieira FC eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
