Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when João Bandeira took the kick off in the first half of the match. After having played for 6 minutes, Inácio Garcia managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Almeirinhos's supporters crossed their fingers, but Inácio Garcia was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Fabiano Rios had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 9th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 9 minutes into the match, João Bandeira had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Abel Abreu. Almeirinhos's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that João Bandeira was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. After some fancy dribbling in the 13th minute, Alfredo Sarmento managed to get in a good position for a shot. SC Encoberta's supporters rose to their feet, but Alfredo Sarmento was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Abel Abreu breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 15th minute, João Bandeira left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The SC Encoberta fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. Almeirinhos's Inácio Garcia got a good chance for a goal in the 20th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Abel Abreu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Fabiano Rios in the 23rd minute of the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Inácio Garcia in the 26th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Honorato Passos saved SC Encoberta from getting behind. In the 28thth minute of the game João Bandeira who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Almeirinhos's Abel Abreu was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. David Neves might have been able to make a better finish in the 32nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Honorato Passos. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. David Neves ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 36th minute, David Neves got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Inácio Garcia to strike the kick off in the second half. 54 minutes into the match, Inácio Garcia notched a goal, 1-2, to the right of SC Encoberta's Honorato Passos. Honorato Passos was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The supporters of Almeirinhos booed when SC Encoberta was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 58 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alfredo Sarmento didn't get a good kick on the ball. Honorato Passos showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from David Neves, who was totally free with the ball in the 59th minute. After 69 minutes SC Encoberta's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Delfim Soares who took care of the corner kick. In the 73rd minute, David Neves got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 75th minute, Inácio Garcia managed to get in a good position for a shot. Almeirinhos's supporters rose to their feet, but Inácio Garcia was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Honorato Passos breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 77 minutes into the match, SC Encoberta's goal looked a bit too open when David Neves came free, but Honorato Passos reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in SC Encoberta's zone, David Neves stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Honorato Passos came out of the goal and David Neves tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Honorato Passos took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sebastião Rocha, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. David Neves's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Honorato Passos read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 86th minute of play. Almeirinhos's Abel Abreu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by João Bandeira in the 87th minute of play. Almeirinhos's Sérgio Tavares got a good chance for a goal in the 89th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After having played for 91 minutes, Inácio Garcia managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Almeirinhos's supporters crossed their fingers, but Inácio Garcia was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Sérgio Tavares recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 95th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal.
