An unexpectedly hard shot by Alcino Sardinha in the 77th minute of play forced Sporting CP's goalkeeper Pedro Vigário to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Eliseu Quental in the 80th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Ademar Zambujal prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 89 minutes into the game, one of Sporting CP:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. The referee gave FC Vilarinho a penalty, 91 minutes into the game.
