Veríssimo Semedo made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. A collision led to Surribas getting a freekick after 19 minutes play. Adriano Paião hit a great ball. Veríssimo Semedo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from José Martins in the 21st minute of play. Adriano Paião could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 22nd minute of the match, but Diogo Silva made a huge save. An unexpectedly hard shot by José Martins in the 23rd minute of play forced Surribas's goalkeeper Veríssimo Semedo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Glutões's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Marco Paiva in the 25th minute. Veríssimo Semedo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Albertino Carvalho in the 33rd minute of the match. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 71st minute, José Martins got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Albertino Carvalho fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 74th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Veríssimo Semedo having to interfere.
