Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Jaime Lopes got the match started through his kick off. Cristiano Barbosa didn't miss a given chance and shot in short distance 1-0 via right post in the game's 5th minute. SC Cavadoude's supporters showed their exhuberating excitement! In the 10th minute, Lourenço Queirós got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. João Pedroso scored 1-1 in the 14th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Inácio Reis, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 23rd minute, João Pedroso ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Inácio Reis was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-2. When Cristiano Barbosa came up free with the goalie in the 27th minute, the SC Cavadoude fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Cristiano Barbosa couldn't finish the play. After a rather tough play, Rochel's Manuel Magalhães got a free kick in the 28th minute. 31 minutes into the match, Jaime Lopes dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Vasco Macedo, 2-2. João Pedroso might have been able to make a better finish in the 33rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Inácio Reis. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. João Pedroso ran back to his position shaking his head. A collision led to SC Cavadoude getting a freekick after 34 minutes play. Jorge Pereira hit a great ball. When the match had gone on for 37 minutes, Jaime Lopes took a quick shot and it went in 3-2 without a chance for Vasco Macedo to make any attempt to save it. In the 41st minute João Pedroso shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Inácio Reis saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Lourenço Queirós's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Inácio Reis read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 43rd minute of play. Rochel's Lourenço Queirós got a good chance for a goal in the 45th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 3-2 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Lourenço Queirós made a kick off. After 52 played minutes Rochel got a freekick which was hit by Oliveira Veiga. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jaime Lopes in the 54th minute of play forced Rochel's goalkeeper Vasco Macedo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Jaime Lopes in the 55th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Vasco Macedo saved Rochel from getting behind. Vasco Macedo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jaime Lopes, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Inácio Reis made an important save on a dangerous shot by João Pedroso in the 58th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when João Pedroso got free with Inácio Reis in the 59th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 68 minutes into the game, SC Cavadoude's Cristiano Barbosa nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Vasco Macedo made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 4-2. Cristiano Barbosa's late challenge caught a Rochel's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Cristiano Barbosa helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Rochel booed when SC Cavadoude was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 71 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cristiano Barbosa didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Lourenço Queirós had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 73rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Jaime Lopes in the 75th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Vasco Macedo saved Rochel from getting behind. Vasco Macedo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cristiano Barbosa in the 80th minute of the match. When Miguel Carvalho fell near the penalty area in the 83rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Rochel's protests and gave Miguel Carvalho a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of SC Cavadoude booed when Rochel was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 83 match minutes in a wonderful position. Miguel Carvalho didn't get a good kick on the ball. Jaime Lopes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 85th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Vasco Macedo having to interfere. If Cristiano Barbosa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 87th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Thanks to some nice moves João Pedroso could shoot a difficult shot in the 93rd minute, which Inácio Reis however easily saved by the left post. Inácio Reis took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Lourenço Queirós, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. For all the effort they put into the match, the Rochel players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for SC Cavadoude.
