In the 3rd match minute, Sc Braga was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Christian Elia to maneuver through the defense. 4 minutes into the game, P.C.S. F.C.'s Germano Menezes nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Miguel Lima made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. F.C.'s goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Augusto Matos ran over to the corner to take the kick. An unexpectedly hard shot by Reginaldo Brochado in the 22nd minute of play forced Sc Braga's goalkeeper Miguel Lima to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Adriano Vilaverde took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Lourenço Neto, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Paulo Neves had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 27 minutes into the match, Sc Braga's goal looked a bit too open when Raul Campos came free, but Miguel Lima reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Paulo Neves sent away a hard shot on goal in the 36th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Lourenço Neto had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 37th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Lourenço Neto stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. When the match had gone on for 56 minutes, Raul Campos took a quick shot and it went in 0-3 without a chance for Miguel Lima to make any attempt to save it. Adriano Vilaverde showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Lourenço Neto in the 59th minute of the match. In the 65th minute, Paulo Neves ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Adriano Vilaverde was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-3. Paulo Neves sent away a hard shot on goal in the 80th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 85 minutes into the match, Paulo Neves notched a goal, 2-3, to the right of P.C.S. F.C.'s Adriano Vilaverde. Adriano Vilaverde was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Lourenço Neto sent away a hard shot on goal in the 88th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Adriano Vilaverde didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Paulo Neves went, in the 89th minute, to the upper right corner, 3-3 was the resulting score. In the 95th minute Lourenço Neto shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Adriano Vilaverde saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Adriano Vilaverde showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Paulo Neves, who was totally free with the ball in the 97th minute.
