Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Sc Braga's Lourenço Neto started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Horácio Tinoco charged in rather forcefully in the 5th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Horácio Tinoco the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Sc Braga made a substitution. Ricardo Correia replaced Gustavo Jesus. Sérgio Abreu recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 10th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a defensive mix-up in SC Touro's zone, Paulo Neves stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Adolfo Nunes came out of the goal and Paulo Neves tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 13th minute, Sérgio Abreu got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After having played for 15 minutes, Sérgio Abreu managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Sc Braga's supporters crossed their fingers, but Sérgio Abreu was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 19 minutes into the match, SC Touro's goalkeeper Adolfo Nunes had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Paulo Neves. After 27 minutes of play, Sc Braga's Paulo Neves made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Adolfo Nunes was left in no man's land by his defense there! Teófilo Vale hit a great freekick 30 minutes into the match. In the 35th minute, Paulo Neves got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Sc Braga's Lourenço Neto got a good chance for a goal in the 36th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Januário Vale in the 41st minute of play forced Sc Braga's goalkeeper Miguel Lima to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Paulo Neves had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. SC Touro's Horácio Tinoco got a good chance for a goal in the 44th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The wind increased when Manuel Graça made the kick off in the second half. Adolfo Nunes showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Lourenço Neto in the 52nd minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 56th minute, Paulo Neves managed to get in a good position for a shot. Sc Braga's supporters rose to their feet, but Paulo Neves was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Adolfo Nunes breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Paulo Neves in the 58th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Adolfo Nunes prevented the ball from getting in the gole. SC Touro's Adolfo Nunes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Paulo Neves in the 60th minute of play. Miguel Lima made an important save on a dangerous shot by Januário Vale in the 61st minute. When Paulo Neves got free in front of the goal in the 68th minute he wasn't very focused and chipped the ball just over the goal. Adolfo Nunes was delighted since he was out of position and the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. Lourenço Neto blasted a shot towards the goal in the 70th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Adolfo Nunes having to make a save. In the 72nd match minute, SC Touro was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Januário Vale to maneuver through the defense. Lourenço Neto scored 2-0 in the 73rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Adolfo Nunes, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. When SC Touro's Manuel Graça in the 78th minute got a chance for a shot 78th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Sc Braga's goalie prevented a goal. After 84 minutes of play, Sc Braga's Lourenço Neto made it 4-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Adolfo Nunes was left in no man's land by his defense there! After 90 minutes, Lourenço Neto mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Sc Braga and the SC Touro players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 90 played minutes Sc Braga got a freekick which was hit by Lourenço Neto. Lourenço Neto fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 93rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Adolfo Nunes having to interfere.
