Henrique Porto showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jairo Ramires in the 3rd minute of the match. After having played for 5 minutes, Alexandre Leite managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. CUF's supporters crossed their fingers, but Alexandre Leite was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Nuno Vale blasted a shot towards the goal in the 7th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Márcio Palma having to make a save. If José Guerreiro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 9th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Vítor Quaresma kicked well hit freekick during the 10th minute of the match. Henrique Porto made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jairo Ramires in the 13th minute of play. José Guerreiro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 16th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Márcio Palma having to interfere. If José Guerreiro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 18th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The wind increased when Jairo Ramires made the kick off in the second half. 51 minutes into the match, CUF's goal looked a bit too open when Jairo Ramires came free, but Henrique Porto reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Jairo Ramires scored 1-0 in the 54th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Henrique Porto, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The referee gave Espantar F.C. a penalty, 73 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Tiago Póvoas, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of CUF's Henrique Porto. 2-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jairo Ramires in the 77th minute of play forced CUF's goalkeeper Henrique Porto to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of Espantar F.C. booed when CUF was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 79 match minutes in a wonderful position. Artur Pinto didn't get a good kick on the ball. Tiago Póvoas succeeded in the game's 80th minute to get real power on a long shot . CUF's Henrique Porto hadn't the time to block the shot which was pasted into the goal, 3-0! Henrique Porto took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jairo Ramires, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Nuno Vale fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 93rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Márcio Palma having to interfere. Gil Amaral sent away a hard shot on goal in the 94th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The crowd rose to their feet as Nuno Vale kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Márcio Palma. That made the score 3-1 in the 98 minute of play. The home crowd let out a huge roar when the referee blew for the end of the game. Espantar F.C. were victorious despite being under pressure from CUF for much of the match.
