Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Mariano Monteiro started the match with the kick off. In the 4th minute Mariano Monteiro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Eusébio Veiga saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 6th minute, Mariano Monteiro ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Eusébio Veiga was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. Augusto Henriques's late challenge caught a SC Grossinhos's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Augusto Henriques helped the player get up and apologised. Augusto Henriques hit a great freekick 11 minutes into the match. SC Grossinhos's Eusébio Veiga played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mariano Monteiro in the 19th minute of play. 32 minutes into the game, Daniel Pinheiro was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. SC Grossinhos's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Borralhoso the free kick. After 32 played minutes SC Grossinhos got a freekick which was hit by Daniel Pinheiro. Mariano Monteiro recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 36th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 39 minutes into the match, Borralhoso's goalkeeper Albertino Machado had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Nuno Faro. After 40 played minutes Borralhoso got a freekick which was hit by Augusto Henriques. In the 45th minute Pedro Trindade shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Eusébio Veiga saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of Borralhoso booed when SC Grossinhos was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 45 match minutes in a wonderful position. Daniel Pinheiro didn't get a good kick on the ball.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Alexandre Magalhães to make the kick off. Pedro Trindade fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 51st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Eusébio Veiga having to interfere. After 55 played minutes Borralhoso got a freekick which was hit by Bruno Aleixo. After some fancy dribbling in the 56th minute, Nuno Faro managed to get in a good position for a shot. SC Grossinhos's supporters rose to their feet, but Nuno Faro was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Albertino Machado breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Nuno Faro recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 60th minute. Bernardo Abreu charged in rather forcefully in the 74th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. When Nuno Faro came up free with the goalie in the 96th minute, the SC Grossinhos fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Nuno Faro couldn't finish the play.
