Jorge Castro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 5th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Gustavo Sabrosa kicked well hit freekick during the 7th minute of the match. In the 7th minute, André Viegas sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and CVV's Adão Trindade didn't even have to move. An unexpected shot in the 10th minute by Catarino Resende got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. 12 minutes into the game, Aprígio Saraiva cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Henrique Alves was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Catarino Resende received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 20th minute. Adão Trindade tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Aprígio Saraiva took the ball and in the 22 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Henrique Alves. Henrique Alves dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-2. Guilhim's Jorge Castro got a good chance for a goal in the 26th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Jorge Castro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 28th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Catarino Resende's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 30thth minute, Adão Trindade skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Jorge Castro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 31st minute. Adão Trindade tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Guilhim's Gil Henriques got a free kick in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-2.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Aprígio Saraiva was the one to do the kick off. After a defensive mix-up in CVV's zone, Jorge Castro stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Adão Trindade came out of the goal and Jorge Castro tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Aprígio Saraiva received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 58th minute. Henrique Alves tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Catarino Resende fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 62nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Adão Trindade having to interfere. In the 67th minute, Eliseu Guerra got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Adão Trindade showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jorge Castro, who was totally free with the ball in the 68th minute. In the 71stth minute of the game Jorge Castro who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but CVV's Adão Trindade was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Adão Trindade made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jorge Castro in the 73rd minute of play. Aprígio Saraiva received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 76th minute. Henrique Alves tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 79th minute Jorge Castro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Adão Trindade saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Gustavo Sabrosa during the 80th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Cândido Pereira took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 94th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Adão Trindade. CVV's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line.
