Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Vítor Aguiar showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Máximo Jesus, who was totally free with the ball in the 3rd minute. Máximo Jesus struck a weak shot in the 6th minute. Vítor Aguiar didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for União Futebol Barreirense. Carlos Bessa received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 9th minute. Carlos Pimentel tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Vítor Aguiar made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Máximo Jesus in the 12th minute of play. After 16 minutes, Mariano Guarda mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the FC Rapide and the União Futebol Barreirense players grew even worse after the yellow card. Mariano Guarda hit a great freekick 16 minutes into the match. Máximo Jesus might have been able to make a better finish in the 18th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Vítor Aguiar. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Máximo Jesus ran back to his position shaking his head. Máximo Jesus fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 22nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Vítor Aguiar having to interfere. FC Rapide's Vítor Aguiar played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ricardo Azevedo in the 29th minute of play. If Ricardo Azevedo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 31st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. José Viegas hit a great freekick 32 minutes into the match. Ricardo Azevedo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 33rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. FC Rapide's Vítor Aguiar played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ricardo Azevedo in the 43rd minute of play. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Ricardo Cunha was the one to do the kick off. After some fancy dribbling in the 51st minute, Ricardo Cunha managed to get in a good position for a shot. FC Rapide's supporters rose to their feet, but Ricardo Cunha was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Carlos Pimentel breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Carlos Bessa's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Carlos Pimentel read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 55th minute of play. Vítor Aguiar showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ricardo Azevedo in the 59th minute of the match. With a little luck, FC Rapide's Vítor Aguiar got control of the ball when Máximo Jesus tried to sneak it across the goal line. After having played for 64 minutes, Máximo Jesus managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. União Futebol Barreirense's supporters crossed their fingers, but Máximo Jesus was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Carlos Bessa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 71st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Carlos Pimentel having to interfere. Carlos Pimentel came out of the goal in the 72nd minute to try and stop a shot by FC Rapide's Ricardo Cunha. But to his dismay, Ricardo Cunha quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. After 82 played minutes FC Rapide got a freekick which was hit by José Viegas. For all the effort they put into the match, the União Futebol Barreirense players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for FC Rapide.
