After 6 played minutes Golaes got a freekick which was hit by Alexandre Macedo. In the 10th minute, Amílcar Almeida left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Golaes fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. 19 minutes into the match, SC Rendo's goal looked a bit too open when Alexandre Bessa came free, but Eusébio Branco reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Alexandre Bessa came up free with the goalie in the 20th minute, the Golaes fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Alexandre Bessa couldn't finish the play. The supporters of Golaes booed when SC Rendo was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 22 match minutes in a wonderful position. Filipe Melo didn't get a good kick on the ball. Eusébio Branco showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Amílcar Almeida, who was totally free with the ball in the 25th minute. 29 minutes into the match, SC Rendo's goal looked a bit too open when Amílcar Almeida came free, but Eusébio Branco reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Eusébio Branco showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Amílcar Almeida, who was totally free with the ball in the 30th minute. SC Rendo's Eusébio Branco played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alexandre Bessa in the 35th minute of play. 38 minutes into the match, Alexandre Bessa had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Eusébio Branco. SC Rendo's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Alexandre Bessa was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. In a very dangerous position, a player in SC Rendo fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 43rd minute. Penalty! Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-3 lead.

Alexandre Bessa received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 53rd minute. Eusébio Branco tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 60th play minutes Alexandre Bessa shot 0-4, a short shot which went by Eusébio Branco and just under the crossbar into goal. Amílcar Almeida fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 65th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Eusébio Branco having to interfere. Alexandre Bessa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 67th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Bruno Melo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 70th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 91st minute, Alexandre Silva hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Golaes played a much better game than SC Rendo and deserved their victory. The SC Rendo players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
