In the 4th minute Laurentino Lameiras shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jorge Gaspar saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a little luck, Motrinos FC's Jorge Gaspar got control of the ball when Alexandre Santarém tried to sneak it across the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Laurentino Lameiras in the 7th minute of play forced Motrinos FC's goalkeeper Jorge Gaspar to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to Laseira getting a freekick after 8 minutes play. Idalécio Lemos hit a great ball. The supporters of Motrinos FC booed when Laseira was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 14 match minutes in a wonderful position. Idalécio Lemos didn't get a good kick on the ball. Viriato Gomes struck a weak shot in the 16th minute. Hermenegildo Semedo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Motrinos FC. A collision led to Laseira getting a freekick after 19 minutes play. Adélio Aleixo hit a great ball. When Motrinos FC's Hugo Santos in the 22nd minute got a chance for a shot 22nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Laseira's goalie prevented a goal. In the 30th minute there was a penalty for Motrinos FC. João Viana stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Hermenegildo Semedo. 0-1. In the 33rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Laseira's goalkeeper Hermenegildo Semedo, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Motrinos FC's Jorge Gaspar proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 35th minute of the match, managed to save Motrinos FC from getting a goal against them. In the 37th minute of the match Laseira got a corner. Motrinos FC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Idalécio Lemos ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner ended in Idalécio Lemos almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Motrinos FC's Jorge Gaspar did a great save. After a rather tough play, Motrinos FC's Vicente Gaspar got a free kick in the 39th minute. In the 45th minute Viriato Gomes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hermenegildo Semedo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The Laseira players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Motrinos FC were winning 0-1.

The wind increased when Viriato Gomes made the kick off in the second half. Hermenegildo Semedo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Viriato Gomes, who was totally free with the ball in the 52nd minute. If Viriato Gomes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 54th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The audience thought a goal was coming when Hugo Santos got free with Hermenegildo Semedo in the 64th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Alexandre Santarém fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 66th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jorge Gaspar having to interfere. André Barbosa struck a weak shot in the 68th minute. Jorge Gaspar didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Laseira. Laseira's Alexandre Santarém got a good chance for a goal in the 70th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 71st minute, André Pires ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Jorge Gaspar was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. If Alexandre Santarém had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 83rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Hugo Santos received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 87th minute. Hermenegildo Semedo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Neither set of supporters seemed pleased with the draw, but both teams had played equally well today.
