The referee ignored Rorigo FC's protests and gave Basílio Nascimento a yellow card for diving instead. In the 30th minute, Basílio Nascimento hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Fernando Oliveira struck a weak shot in the 42nd minute. Cristóvão Santos didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Rorigo FC. The wind increased when Fernando Oliveira made the kick off in the second half. Oliveira Domingues's late challenge caught a Simantorta's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Oliveira Domingues helped the player get up and apologised. In the 62nd minute, Pedro Matias hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. A collision led to Rorigo FC getting a freekick after 67 minutes play. Alfredo Assunção hit a great ball. Joaquim Marques fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 69th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rui Araújo having to interfere. After having played for 73 minutes, Fernando Oliveira managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Rorigo FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Fernando Oliveira was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alfredo Assunção in the 74th minute of play forced Simantorta's goalkeeper Cristóvão Santos to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 80 minutes into the match, Rorigo FC's goal looked a bit too open when Luís Freitas came free, but Rui Araújo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Joaquim Marques fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 81st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rui Araújo having to interfere. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Eusébio Dantas during the 83rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 83 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Rorigo FC! 86 minutes had been played when some careless play by Rorigo FC's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Basílio Lima was slow to take the kick. During this time Simantorta's players had a chance to rest. Fernando Oliveira recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 89th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The audience thought a goal was coming when Joaquim Marques got free with Rui Araújo in the 94th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
