Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. André Boaventura started the match with the kick off. In the 4th minute, Cristóvão Faro hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Fernando Machado had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 11th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of A.D.Sanjoanense booed when Asnela FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 18 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cristóvão Ávila didn't get a good kick on the ball. Daniel Figueira hit a great freekick 20 minutes into the match. 24 minutes into the match, André Boaventura notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of A.D.Sanjoanense's Miguel Viana. Miguel Viana was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Miguel Viana came out of the goal in the 27th minute to try and stop a shot by Asnela FC's Valdemar Quaresma. But to his dismay, Valdemar Quaresma quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. Emílio Lopes charged in rather forcefully in the 29th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Emílio Lopes the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 39th minute, Tiago Faro got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 43rd minute André Boaventura shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Miguel Viana saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After the first half Asnela FC were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Fernando Machado blasted a shot towards the goal in the 56th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Cândido Granja having to make a save. Fernando Machado received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 59th minute. Cândido Granja tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 65th minute, one of A.D.Sanjoanense:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for A.D.Sanjoanense. Miguel Viana had in the 67thth minute some difficulties stopping Cristóvão Ávila's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fernando Machado in the 69th minute of play forced Asnela FC's goalkeeper Cândido Granja to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Amadeu Mendes's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Miguel Viana firmly grabbed it by the left post. Emílio Lopes was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 74 minutes into the match. In a very dangerous position, a player in A.D.Sanjoanense fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 74th minute. Penalty! Cristóvão Faro hit a great freekick 78 minutes into the match. After a rather tough play, A.D.Sanjoanense's Cristóvão Faro got a free kick in the 80th minute. 85 minutes into the match, André Boaventura notched a goal, 1-3, to the right of A.D.Sanjoanense's Miguel Viana. Miguel Viana was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Tiago Faro struck a weak shot in the 93rd minute. Cândido Granja didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for A.D.Sanjoanense. In the 95th match minute, Asnela FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Carlos Valentim to maneuver through the defense. When the final whistle went the supporters of Asnela FC were delighted that their team had defeated the much more dominant A.D.Sanjoanense side.
