Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) F.C. Lagos da Beira's Vladimiro Aleixo started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Marco Vidal kicked well hit freekick during the 3rd minute of the match. After having played for 4 minutes, Daniel Gois managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. SC Melancia's supporters crossed their fingers, but Daniel Gois was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After a defensive mix-up in F.C. Lagos da Beira's zone, Tomás Camargo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Luís Carneiro came out of the goal and Tomás Camargo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 12 played minutes F.C. Lagos da Beira got a freekick which was hit by Artur Gameiro. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Daniel Gois in the 15th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Luís Carneiro prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Artur Gameiro kicked well hit freekick during the 19th minute of the match. Artur Gameiro hit a great freekick 20 minutes into the match. 25 minutes into the match, F.C. Lagos da Beira's Jesualdo Moita sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Luís Quental narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 28th minute, Adérito Garcez hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Vladimiro Aleixo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 34th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jesualdo Moita in the 35th minute of play forced SC Melancia's goalkeeper Luís Quental to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 37th minute, Daniel Gois left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The SC Melancia fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. In the 42nd minute, Jesualdo Moita got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Lagos da Beira was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Yuri Regueira to maneuver through the defense. In the 56th minute Tomás Camargo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Luís Carneiro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of SC Melancia booed when F.C. Lagos da Beira was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 57 match minutes in a wonderful position. Yuri Regueira didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 58th minute Tomás Camargo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Luís Carneiro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Daniel Gois came up free with the goalie in the 62nd minute, the SC Melancia fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Daniel Gois couldn't finish the play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Daniel Gois in the 64th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Luís Carneiro saved F.C. Lagos da Beira from getting behind. After 65 minutes, Yuri Regueira mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the F.C. Lagos da Beira and the SC Melancia players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 68th minute Tomás Camargo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Luís Carneiro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 72 minutes into the match, F.C. Lagos da Beira's goal looked a bit too open when Daniel Gois came free, but Luís Carneiro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 73rd minute Daniel Gois shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Luís Carneiro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A hard shot by Fabiano Guimarães from long distance, 77 minutes into the match, got Luís Quental's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. Luís Carneiro came out of the goal in the 78th minute to try and stop a shot by SC Melancia's Daniel Gois. But to his dismay, Daniel Gois quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. 83 minutes into the match, F.C. Lagos da Beira's goal looked a bit too open when Tomás Camargo came free, but Luís Carneiro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When the match had gone on for 84 minutes, Vladimiro Aleixo took a quick shot and it went in 2-1 without a chance for Luís Quental to make any attempt to save it. When F.C. Lagos da Beira's Vladimiro Aleixo in the 88th minute got a chance for a shot 88th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Lagos da Beira players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 89th minute, Jordão Rodrigues hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Vladimiro Aleixo kicked well hit freekick during the 90th minute of the match. Tomás Camargo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 94th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out.
