The PortoBello FC fans' excitement grew in the 4th match minute when PortoBello FC's Bento Dantas looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Jorge Ramos sent away a hard shot on goal in the 8th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Geraldo Rocha's late challenge caught a PortoBello FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Geraldo Rocha helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of PortoBello FC booed when Ramalhais FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 9 match minutes in a wonderful position. Geraldo Rocha didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Bento Dantas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 10th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Abel Galvão showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jorge Ramos in the 17th minute of the match. After 19 played minutes Jorge Ramos rounded Ramalhais FC's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 2-0. With his leg Abel Galvão managed to avoid a goal in the 29thth minute, when PortoBello FC's Bento Dantas fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Abel Galvão had great luck who in the 30thth minute grab hold of the ball when Rupert Svenson from a short distance tried to put the ball inside the right post. Bento Dantass short, quick shot in the 31stth minute got Abel Galvão to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. David Baía fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 33rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Pedro Amaro having to interfere. 35 minutes into the game, Jorge Ramos cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-0. Abel Galvão was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Rupert Svenson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 39th minute. Abel Galvão tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Rupert Svenson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a little luck, Ramalhais FC's Abel Galvão got control of the ball when Bento Dantas tried to sneak it across the goal line. Rupert Svenson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 47th minute. Abel Galvão tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 3-0.

If David Vasques had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 52nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Abel Galvão showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Bento Dantas, who was totally free with the ball in the 54th minute. Abel Galvão came out of the goal in the 57th minute to try and stop a shot by PortoBello FC's Rupert Svenson. But to his dismay, Rupert Svenson quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 4-0. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Bento Dantas in the 60th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Abel Galvão saved Ramalhais FC from getting behind. Bento Dantas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 62nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Abel Galvão having to interfere. The audience was convinced that Bento Dantas's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Abel Galvão was relentless in the 68th minute of the game. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bento Dantas in the 71st minute of play forced Ramalhais FC's goalkeeper Abel Galvão to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 75th minute Bento Dantas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Abel Galvão saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 78 minutes into the game, Bento Dantas cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 6-0. Abel Galvão was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 82nd minute of the match Beat Villalobos sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Abel Galvão skillfully saved the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rupert Svenson in the 87th minute of play forced Ramalhais FC's goalkeeper Abel Galvão to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
