Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Herberto Taveira blasted a shot towards the goal in the 4th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Albertino Lisboa having to make a save. Alexandre Miranda sent away a hard shot on goal in the 15th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Alfredo Barros received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 19th minute. Claudemiro Bessa tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 24th minute, Filipe Nogueira got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. António Gusmão's late challenge caught a Aldreu FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. António Gusmão helped the player get up and apologised. After recieving a nice pass, Aldreu FC's Daniel Pinheiro tried to score from far away in the 27th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Filipe Nogueira in the 29th minute of play forced Escandarao's goalkeeper Claudemiro Bessa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Claudemiro Bessa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Filipe Nogueira, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Alfredo Barros had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 34th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 36 minutes, Silvano Pádua mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Escandarao and the Aldreu FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. After some fancy dribbling in the 39th minute, Filipe Nogueira managed to get in a good position for a shot. Aldreu FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Filipe Nogueira was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Claudemiro Bessa breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Claudemiro Bessa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alfredo Barros, who was totally free with the ball in the 40th minute. Severino Barroso sent away a hard shot on goal in the 43rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Albertino Lisboa made a fantastic save in the 45th minute, when Herberto Taveira sent off a good shot on target. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

Claudemiro Bessa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Filipe Nogueira in the 52nd minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Herberto Taveira in the 57th minute of play forced Aldreu FC's goalkeeper Albertino Lisboa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 58 minutes, Alexandre Lima mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Aldreu FC and the Escandarao players grew even worse after the yellow card. Albertino Lisboa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Herberto Taveira, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 62 minutes of play Aldreu FC's Alexandre Lima was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. The supporters of Escandarao booed when Aldreu FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 62 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alexandre Lima didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 65 minutes of play, Aldreu FC's Filipe Nogueira made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Claudemiro Bessa was left in no man's land by his defense there! Claudemiro Bessa came out of the goal in the 71st minute to try and stop a shot by Aldreu FC's Alfredo Barros. But to his dismay, Alfredo Barros quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. Herberto Taveira received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 77th minute. Albertino Lisboa tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Alfredo Barros had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 79th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 81 minutes into the match, Aldreu FC's goal looked a bit too open when Severino Barroso came free, but Albertino Lisboa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Severino Barroso received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 87th minute. Albertino Lisboa tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 88 minutes into the game, Escandarao's Herberto Taveira nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Albertino Lisboa made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-2. If Alfredo Barros had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 96th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
