Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Claudemiro Bessa made a fantastic save in the 6th minute, when Mário Oliveira sent off a good shot on target. If Mário Oliveira had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 13th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 23 minutes, Lourenço Tomé mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Escandarao and the Ancia FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. 24 minutes into the match, Ancia FC's Mário Setúbal broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. In the 31st minute, Mário Oliveira ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Claudemiro Bessa was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. Paulo Neves recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 39th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Mário Oliveira sent away a hard shot on goal in the 42nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 46th minute, Herberto Taveira got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Paulo Neves stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Paulo Neves received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 52nd minute. Claudemiro Bessa tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After having played for 58 minutes, Severino Barroso managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Escandarao's supporters crossed their fingers, but Severino Barroso was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 60th minute of the game. One of Ancia FC:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Escandarao:s goal. The referee gave Escandarao a penalty, 62 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Jerónimo Pimenta, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Ancia FC's Joaquim Valente. 1-1. When Ancia FC's Paulo Neves in the 68th minute got a chance for a shot 68th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Escandarao's goalie prevented a goal. In the 74th match minute, Escandarao was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Angélico Conde to maneuver through the defense. Mário Setúbal, 75 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. Claudemiro Bessa stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Mário Oliveira's shot from short distance in the 77th minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Paulo Neves in the 78th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Claudemiro Bessa prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Severino Barroso sent away a hard shot on goal in the 83rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Artur Borges fell near the penalty area in the 84th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Ancia FC's protests and gave Artur Borges a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Escandarao booed when Ancia FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 84 match minutes in a wonderful position. Artur Borges didn't get a good kick on the ball. 87 minutes had been played when some careless play by Ancia FC's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Jerónimo Pimenta was slow to take the kick. During this time Escandarao's players had a chance to rest. The corner ended in Jerónimo Pimenta almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Ancia FC's Joaquim Valente did a great save. Ancia FC's Mário Setúbal couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 90th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Escandarao. António Gusmão sent away a hard shot on goal in the 96th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 98th minute, Herberto Taveira got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
