Gonçalo Nascimento acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 12th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Valter Parente. Afonso Cesário showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alexandre Ramos in the 18th minute of the match. If Nuno Matias had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 19th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Matias Padilha stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Alexandre Ramos received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 53rd minute. Afonso Cesário tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Laércio Ribas charged in rather forcefully in the 54th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. Seixal Futebol Campus's Afonso Cesário played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alexandre Ramos in the 63rd minute of play. If Alexandre Ramos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 67th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to SC Taboeira getting a freekick after 70 minutes play. Luís Miranda hit a great ball. After a defensive mix-up in SC Taboeira's zone, Matias Padilha stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Gonçalo Nascimento came out of the goal and Matias Padilha tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Matias Padilha had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 74th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Matias Padilha fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 77th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gonçalo Nascimento having to interfere. After having played for 82 minutes, Rodrigo Quadros managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Seixal Futebol Campus's supporters crossed their fingers, but Rodrigo Quadros was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Afonso Cesário came out and tried to block the shot, but Alexandre Ramos slotted it home off the left post making it 1-1 in the 95th minute.
