SC Taboeira's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in EIRIZ reached it. In the 30th minute Marcos Moniz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gonçalo Nascimento saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Rodrigo Nogueira hit a great freekick 33 minutes into the match. In the 39th minute Alexandre Ramos shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Joel Marques saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Albertino Aragão in the 45th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Gonçalo Nascimento saved SC Taboeira from getting behind.

After a defensive mix-up in EIRIZ's zone, Nuno Matias stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Joel Marques came out of the goal and Nuno Matias tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 57th minute, Nuno Matias got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After having played for 64 minutes, Nuno Matias managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. SC Taboeira's supporters crossed their fingers, but Nuno Matias was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Joel Marques showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alexandre Ramos in the 73rd minute of the match. In the 83rd of the match, Albertino Aragão tried to place the ball in the upper right corner, but Gonçalo Nascimento got in the way and made a wonderful save. 84 minutes into the match, EIRIZ's goal looked a bit too open when Alexandre Ramos came free, but Joel Marques reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some careless play in the EIRIZ defense, Alexandre Ramos kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Joel Marques. The EIRIZ fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Joel Marques should have stopped the shot. A collision led to EIRIZ getting a freekick after 89 minutes play. Claudemiro Salazar hit a great ball. Marcos Moniz might have been able to make a better finish in the 93rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Gonçalo Nascimento. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Marcos Moniz ran back to his position shaking his head.
