Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Rui Lessa took the kick off in the first half of the match. After having played for 11 minutes, Fábio Rocha managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Rumorinho FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Fábio Rocha was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 13 minutes into the match, LX GALAXY's goal looked a bit too open when Fábio Rocha came free, but Alexandre Peixoto reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 14th minute, Kevin Peseiro hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 18 minutes into the game, Fábio Rocha was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Rumorinho FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave LX GALAXY the free kick. The supporters of LX GALAXY booed when Rumorinho FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 18 match minutes in a wonderful position. Fábio Rocha didn't get a good kick on the ball. João Cabral showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Marco Viegas in the 24th minute of the match. João Cabral made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rui Lessa in the 33rd minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 39th minute, Oliver Kahn managed to get in a good position for a shot. LX GALAXY's supporters rose to their feet, but Oliver Kahn was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. João Cabral breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 48th match minute, Rumorinho FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Manuel Morais to maneuver through the defense. The attack was good, but when Marco Viegas in the 49th minute was about to shoot he didn't kick quite good enough and the ball went high over goal. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The wind increased when Fábio Rocha made the kick off in the second half. Marco Viegas received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 54th minute. João Cabral tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The crowd rose to their feet as Rui Lessa kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving João Cabral. That made the score 0-1 in the 55 minute of play. 60 minutes into the match, LX GALAXY's Rui Lessa sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that João Cabral narrowly saved just below the crossbar. João Cabral made a fantastic save in the 66th minute, when Marco Viegas sent off a good shot on target. Oliver Kahn's late challenge caught a Rumorinho FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Oliver Kahn helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to LX GALAXY getting a freekick after 71 minutes play. Oliver Kahn hit a great ball. Rui Lessa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 73rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without João Cabral having to interfere. Jacinto Moreira kicked well hit freekick during the 74th minute of the match. Marco Viegas struck a weak shot in the 77th minute. João Cabral didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for LX GALAXY. 79 minutes into the match, Rumorinho FC's goal looked a bit too open when Rui Lessa came free, but João Cabral reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Rui Lessa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 80th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without João Cabral having to interfere. Jacinto Moreira fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 84th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alexandre Peixoto having to interfere. Manuel Morais hit a great freekick 87 minutes into the match. Marco Viegas struck a weak shot in the 89th minute. João Cabral didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for LX GALAXY. If Rui Lessa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Rui Lessa received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 94th minute. João Cabral tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With a little luck, Rumorinho FC's João Cabral got control of the ball when Marco Viegas tried to sneak it across the goal line. When the final whistle sounded LX GALAXY left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Rumorinho FC.
