A sloppy throw-in by Fernando Costa in the 3rd minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Prainha FC's Quintino Pereira. After a defensive mix-up in Alcanadas FC's zone, Humberto Cerqueira stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Gil Pinho came out of the goal and Humberto Cerqueira tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After some careless play in the Alcanadas FC defense, Humberto Cerqueira kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Gil Pinho. The Alcanadas FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Gil Pinho should have stopped the shot. After some fancy dribbling in the 13th minute, Gabriel Freitas managed to get in a good position for a shot. Alcanadas FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Gabriel Freitas was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Manuel Palma breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Manuel Palma took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rodrigo Teixeira, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Adelino Brandão in the 18th minute of play forced Alcanadas FC's goalkeeper Gil Pinho to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Quintino Pereira during the 21st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Humberto Cerqueira stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Alcanadas FC's Gil Pinho played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Adelino Brandão in the 51st minute of play. Gabriel Freitas's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Manuel Palma firmly grabbed it by the left post. In the 62nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Alcanadas FC's goalkeeper Gil Pinho, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 62 minutes into the game, Cássio Trindade cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 4-0.
