Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Joaquim Valente in the 32nd minute of play forced Lourim's goalkeeper Basílio Ferreira to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 34 minutes into the match, furia benfiquista's Américo Amaro sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Basílio Ferreira narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Joaquim Valente fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 41st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Basílio Ferreira having to interfere. In the 55th match minute, furia benfiquista was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Basílio Setúbal to maneuver through the defense. furia benfiquista's Bruno Lisboa got a good chance for a goal in the 62nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After a defensive mix-up in furia benfiquista's zone, Rogério Valente stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Marco Coelho came out of the goal and Rogério Valente tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. furia benfiquista's Marco Coelho proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 84th minute of the match, managed to save furia benfiquista from getting a goal against them. After a defensive mix-up in Lourim's zone, Horácio Tóris stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Basílio Ferreira came out of the goal and Horácio Tóris tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Joaquim Valente recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 90th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 95th minute Joaquim Valente shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Basílio Ferreira saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When the final whistle went the supporters of Lourim were delighted that their team had defeated the much more dominant furia benfiquista side.
