The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Pedro Valério took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mateus Eiró, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Moisés Prates had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 10th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Kevin Igrejas struck a weak shot in the 11th minute. Nicolau Rebelo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Galiana FC. If Moisés Prates had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 12th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a little luck, Sancheira's Nicolau Rebelo got control of the ball when Kevin Igrejas tried to sneak it across the goal line. Sebastião Carvalho's late challenge caught a Sancheira's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Sebastião Carvalho helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Galiana FC's Sebastião Carvalho got a free kick in the 25th minute. 28 minutes into the match, Galiana FC's goal looked a bit too open when Paulino Leitão came free, but Pedro Valério reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Mateus Eiró received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 29th minute. Pedro Valério tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mateus Eiró in the 31st minute of play forced Galiana FC's goalkeeper Pedro Valério to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Jairo Delgado's late challenge caught a Sancheira's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Jairo Delgado helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Sancheira booed when Galiana FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 32 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jairo Delgado didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Ronaldo Lameirinhas fell near the penalty area in the 38th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Galiana FC's protests and gave Ronaldo Lameirinhas a yellow card for diving instead. Sancheira's Alípio Cerqueira suffered a sore thigh after 40 minutes and couldn't finish the game. Galiana FC's Jairo Delgado got his second yellow card of the match in the 41st minute. The referee ordered Jairo Delgado off the ground. In the 41st match minute, Galiana FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jairo Delgado to maneuver through the defense. Mateus Eiró recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 44th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 47th minute, Mateus Eiró got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

Sancheira's Mateus Eiró got a good chance for a goal in the 52nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 53rd minute, Francisco Castanheira got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Sebastião Carvalho got his second yellow card in the match during the 54th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. A collision led to Galiana FC getting a freekick after 55 minutes play. Sebastião Carvalho hit a great ball. Mateus Eiró received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 57th minute. Pedro Valério tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Galiana FC's Pedro Valério proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 64th minute of the match, managed to save Galiana FC from getting a goal against them. Mateus Eiró struck a weak shot in the 66th minute. Pedro Valério didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Sancheira. After a rather tough play, Sancheira's Vicente Avelar got a free kick in the 69th minute. When the match had gone on for 79 minutes, Mateus Eiró took a quick shot and it went in 0-1 without a chance for Pedro Valério to make any attempt to save it. Mateus Eiró sent away a hard shot on goal in the 83rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a rather tough play, Sancheira's Carlos Prates got a free kick in the 87th minute. With his leg Pedro Valério managed to avoid a goal in the 92ndth minute, when Sancheira's Mateus Eiró fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. When Moisés Prates came up free with the goalie in the 95th minute, the Galiana FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Moisés Prates couldn't finish the play. Moisés Prates scored 1-1 in the 96th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Nicolau Rebelo, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
