Francisco Benevides had great luck who in the 40thth minute grab hold of the ball when Diamantino Brás from a short distance tried to put the ball inside the right post. When Adolfo Viegas came up free with the goalie in the 46th minute, the SC Tardariz fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Adolfo Viegas couldn't finish the play. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.
