Fernando Lopes made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. 12 minutes into the game, Diamantino Brás cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. Fernando Lopes was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. If Ricardo Simões had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 15th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Heitor Alves charged in rather forcefully in the 20th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Heitor Alves the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Gavieira FC's Heitor Alves got a free kick in the 20th minute. Filipe Domingues fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 23rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fernando Lopes having to interfere. Fernando Lopes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Filipe Domingues in the 25th minute of play. Rafael Pinho received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 33rd minute. Paulo Viana tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Gavieira FC's Cândido Matias shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 40th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Paulo Viana but with some difficulty. Diamantino Brás received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 44th minute. Fernando Lopes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The wind increased when Diamantino Brás made the kick off in the second half. Heitor Alves hit a great freekick 57 minutes into the match. Rui Santarém kicked well hit freekick during the 65th minute of the match. Paulo Viana showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rafael Pinho in the 76th minute of the match. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Catarino Viegas during the 87th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 87th match minute, Gavieira FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Catarino Viegas to maneuver through the defense. In the 94th minute of the match Rui Santarém sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Paulo Viana skillfully saved the ball. When the match was over SC Tardariz could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Gavieira FC throughout the match.
