Joel Calado took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sandro Trindade, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 13th minute, Sandro Trindade got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Lamares FC's Laércio Zarco got a good chance for a goal in the 23rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After having played for 25 minutes, Laércio Zarco managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Lamares FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Laércio Zarco was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Joel Calado made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sandro Trindade in the 27th minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 31st minute, Laércio Zarco managed to get in a good position for a shot. Lamares FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Laércio Zarco was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Álvaro Trindade breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Carlos Ferreira during the 33rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Carlos Ferreira kicked well hit freekick during the 34th minute of the match. Álvaro Trindade made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cristiano Trigueiro in the 35th minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 36th minute, Laércio Zarco managed to get in a good position for a shot. Álvaro Trindade dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. Laércio Zarco sent away a hard shot on goal in the 48th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Cristiano Trigueiro was the one to do the kick off. Laércio Zarco recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 53rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Américo Correia charged in rather forcefully in the 54th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Américo Correia the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Américo Correia hit a great freekick 54 minutes into the match. Cristiano Trigueiro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 57th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Álvaro Trindade having to interfere. Álvaro Trindade made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Laércio Zarco in the 66th minute of play. 67 minutes into the game, Sandro Trindade cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. Joel Calado was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 72 minutes into the match, Lamares FC's goal looked a bit too open when Paulo Fonseca came free, but Joel Calado reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Laércio Zarco sent away a hard shot on goal in the 74th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 83 minutes into the game, Geraldo Godinho was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Lamares FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Seiceira the free kick. A collision led to Lamares FC getting a freekick after 83 minutes play. Geraldo Godinho hit a great ball. Joel Calado made a fantastic save in the 88th minute, when Sandro Trindade sent off a good shot on target. 90 minutes into the match, Lamares FC's goal looked a bit too open when Paulo Fonseca came free, but Joel Calado reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
