Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Tiago Carvalho took the kick off in the first half of the match. If Gil Rodrigues had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 5th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Tiago Carvalho received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 9th minute. Basílio Menezes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Basílio Menezes took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gil Rodrigues, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After having played for 14 minutes, Gil Rodrigues managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. SC Torqueda's supporters crossed their fingers, but Gil Rodrigues was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Gil Rodrigues fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 18th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Basílio Menezes having to interfere. In the 21st minute, Américo Baptista hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Tiago Carvalho recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 23rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Tiago Carvalho sent away a hard shot on goal in the 25th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The audience was convinced that Gil Rodrigues's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Basílio Menezes was relentless in the 36th minute of the game. FC Pointe Noire's Basílio Menezes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tiago Carvalho in the 40th minute of play. After 45 minutes of play SC Torqueda's Américo Baptista was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

In the 50th minute, Damião Queirós hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Basílio Menezes made an important save on a dangerous shot by Gil Rodrigues in the 58th minute. Gil Rodrigues fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 62nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Basílio Menezes having to interfere. In the 71st minute of the match Damião Coutinho sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Armando Lopes skillfully saved the ball. Timóteo Seabra's late challenge caught a SC Torqueda's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Timóteo Seabra helped the player get up and apologised. In the 72nd match minute, FC Pointe Noire was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Timóteo Seabra to maneuver through the defense. Armando Lopes came out of the goal in the 75th minute to try and stop a shot by FC Pointe Noire's Viriato Santarém. But to his dismay, Viriato Santarém quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. Armando Lopes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Viriato Santarém in the 83rd minute of play. Armando Lopes stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Viriato Santarém's shot from short distance in the 90th minute. Timóteo Seabra received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 93rd minute. Armando Lopes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Paulo Lima in the 95th minute of play forced SC Torqueda's goalkeeper Armando Lopes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Paulo Lima might have been able to make a better finish in the 96th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Armando Lopes. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Paulo Lima ran back to his position shaking his head. If Viriato Santarém had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 97th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. SC Torqueda's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
