Lúcio Camargo was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 19th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Joaquim Matos in the 26th minute of play forced Bestida FC's goalkeeper Honorato Sesimbra to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Lúcio Camargo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 28th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Raul Cardoso having to interfere. Dário Patrício sent away a hard shot on goal in the 31st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Lúcio Camargo stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Joaquim Matos in the 52nd minute of play forced Bestida FC's goalkeeper Honorato Sesimbra to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 53 played minutes Bestida FC got a freekick which was hit by Lúcio Camargo. Joaquim Matos received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 58th minute. Raul Cardoso breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Jorge Paredes took the ball and in the 70 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Honorato Sesimbra. Honorato Sesimbra dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. In the 73rd match minute, Purgacal FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Joaquim Matos to maneuver through the defense. After some careless play in the Purgacal FC defense, Lúcio Camargo kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Raul Cardoso. The Purgacal FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Raul Cardoso should have stopped the shot. Raul Cardoso showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Lúcio Camargo in the 82nd minute of the match. Bruno Garcia was shown his second yellow card after 82 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match.
