After 4 played minutes Sousanil got a freekick which was hit by Mário Frois. 13 minutes into the match, Yuri Ferro had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Almiro Brás. SC Tardariz's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Yuri Ferro was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. When Gastão Bessa came up free with the goalie in the 19th minute, the SC Tardariz fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Gastão Bessa couldn't finish the play. In the 23rd minute, Sousanil's Júlio Neto ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Almiro Brás. Almiro Brás yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-0. 32 minutes into the match, Sousanil's goal looked a bit too open when Samuel Monsanto came free, but Rúben Arruda reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 34 minutes into the match, SC Tardariz's goalkeeper Almiro Brás had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Júlio Neto. Yuri Ferro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 37th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Almiro Brás took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Yuri Ferro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Yuri Ferro in the 45th minute of play forced SC Tardariz's goalkeeper Almiro Brás to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Samuel Monsanto received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 69th minute. Rúben Arruda tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Sousanil's zone, Gastão Bessa stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Rúben Arruda came out of the goal and Gastão Bessa tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The audience was convinced that Samuel Monsanto's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Rúben Arruda was relentless in the 73rd minute of the game. Gastão Bessa in the 81stth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal.
