The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. The audience was convinced that Afonso Reis's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Adão Morais was relentless in the 7th minute of the game. Adão Morais took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Marco Nogueira, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 10 played minutes INTER-DE-FONTOURA got a freekick which was hit by Marco Neto. A collision led to INTER-DE-FONTOURA getting a freekick after 17 minutes play. Filinto Raposo hit a great ball. After recieving a nice pass, Chamadouro's Cláudio Melo tried to score from far away in the 18th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Afonso Reis received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 21st minute. Adão Morais tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After having played for 25 minutes, Marco Nogueira managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Chamadouro's supporters crossed their fingers, but Marco Nogueira was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 31 minutes into the match, INTER-DE-FONTOURA's goal looked a bit too open when Marco Nogueira came free, but Adão Morais reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Filinto Raposo during the 47th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, INTER-DE-FONTOURA's Filinto Raposo got a free kick in the 48th minute. After the first half Chamadouro were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Afonso Reis to strike the kick off in the second half. Adão Morais stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Afonso Reis's shot from short distance in the 54th minute. Adão Morais didn't succeed to prevent the ball from going into goal when Chamadouro's Marco Nogueira shot an unexpected shot in the crossbar's under edge and made 0-2 in the ordered_time% minute. Chamadouro's Bento Resende played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Wilson Ávila in the 61st minute of play. Bento Resende showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Wilson Ávila, who was totally free with the ball in the 66th minute. Adão Morais took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Afonso Reis, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Wilson Ávila sent away a hard shot on goal in the 71st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. INTER-DE-FONTOURA's Adão Morais proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 76th minute of the match, managed to save INTER-DE-FONTOURA from getting a goal against them. Wilson Ávila spun around in front of the goal 81 minutes in the game, and got away a shot that, to his disappointment, went to the left of Chamadouro's goal. In the 94th minute Afonso Reis shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Adão Morais saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Chamadouro eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
