Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Bernardo Guarda started the match with the kick off. Cachave's Bruno Gomes pulled a muscle in his leg after 4 minutes and couldn't finish the game. Alexandre Barbosa charged in rather forcefully in the 4th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Alexandre Barbosa the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Alexandre Barbosa hit a great freekick 5 minutes into the match. João Cabral charged in rather forcefully in the 12th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. After a rather tough play, SC Codeceda's João Cabral got a free kick in the 16th minute. Armando Ferro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Paulo Moniz in the 22nd minute of play. Bernardo Guarda fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 23rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Octávio Viegas having to interfere. Valentim Lage recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 25th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 29th minute, Eduardo Lima hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. With a little luck, SC Codeceda's Armando Ferro got control of the ball when Valentim Lage tried to sneak it across the goal line. Cachave's Valentim Lage got a good chance for a goal in the 32nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When António Monteiro fell near the penalty area in the 37th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored SC Codeceda's protests and gave António Monteiro a yellow card for diving instead. Octávio Viegas showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Bernardo Guarda, who was totally free with the ball in the 40th minute. In the 42nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Cachave's goalkeeper Octávio Viegas, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 48 minutes into the game, Leonel Assis was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Cachave's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave SC Codeceda the free kick. A collision led to Cachave getting a freekick after 49 minutes play. Leonel Assis hit a great ball. Paulo Moniz hit a great freekick 50 minutes into the match. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Valentim Lage stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Eduardo Lima's late challenge caught a Cachave's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Eduardo Lima helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, SC Codeceda's Eduardo Lima got a free kick in the 57th minute. Valentim Lage received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 59th minute. Armando Ferro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 62nd match minute, Cachave was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cesário Viana to maneuver through the defense. Carlos Dantas, 63 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. Alexandre Barbosa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 65th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After having played for 69 minutes, Alexandre Barbosa managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. SC Codeceda's supporters crossed their fingers, but Alexandre Barbosa was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Alexandre Barbosa who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 71stth minute tested the skills of Octávio Viegas when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Valentim Lage recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 73rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Leonel Assis fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 74th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Armando Ferro having to interfere. If Valentim Lage had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 77th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 78 played minutes SC Codeceda got a freekick which was hit by António Monteiro. Alexandre Barbosa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 87th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some fancy dribbling in the 89th minute, Alexandre Barbosa managed to get in a good position for a shot. SC Codeceda's supporters rose to their feet, but Alexandre Barbosa was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Octávio Viegas breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Octávio Viegas showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bernardo Guarda in the 91st minute of the match. Alexandre Barbosa was extremely unlucky when he, in the 93rd minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. 95 minutes into the match, Cachave's goalkeeper Octávio Viegas had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Alexandre Barbosa. Leonel Assis fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 99th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Armando Ferro having to interfere. Neither set of supporters seemed pleased with the draw, but both teams had played equally well today.
