In the 8thth minute of the game Jaime Pinheiro who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Badoom United's Adalberto Valério was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Adalberto Valério showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jaime Pinheiro, who was totally free with the ball in the 9th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Badoom United's zone, Jaime Pinheiro stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Adalberto Valério came out of the goal and Jaime Pinheiro tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Vilarinha's José Garcia proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 18th minute of the match, managed to save Vilarinha from getting a goal against them. Miguel Torcato fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 19th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without José Garcia having to interfere. Adalberto Valério showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jaime Pinheiro in the 23rd minute of the match. In the 26th minute, Miguel Torcato got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Inácio Borges sent away a hard shot on goal in the 29th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Amadeu Campos hit a great freekick 41 minutes into the match. Inácio Borges recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 44th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Jaime Pinheiro struck a weak shot in the 46th minute. Adalberto Valério didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Vilarinha. 48 minutes into the match, Badoom United's goal looked a bit too open when Inácio Borges came free, but Adalberto Valério reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

53 minutes into the match, Jaime Pinheiro dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Adalberto Valério, 1-1.
