Joaquim Magalhães recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 4th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Jorge Gonçalves showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Joaquim Magalhães, who was totally free with the ball in the 6th minute. Joaquim Assis's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Jorge Gonçalves read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 8th minute of play. Manuel Correia struck a weak shot in the 11th minute. Armindo Lima didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Morrilhoes FC. In the 13th minute, Joaquim Magalhães got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When Rogério Leal fell near the penalty area in the 13th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Morrilhoes FC's protests and gave Rogério Leal a yellow card for diving instead. In the 14th match minute, Morrilhoes FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rogério Leal to maneuver through the defense. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 19th minute of the game. One of Morrilhoes FC:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Sobrena FC:s goal. Jorge Gonçalves went to the wrong direction when Paulo Vale was taking care of the penalty kick which however missed the goal. Sobrena FC's Armindo Lima played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Manuel Assis in the 23rd minute of play. A collision led to Sobrena FC getting a freekick after 31 minutes play. Gaspar Moura hit a great ball. Morrilhoes FC's Manuel Assis got a good chance for a goal in the 32nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Manuel Assis was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 33rd minute. Morrilhoes FC's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. In the 46th match minute, Morrilhoes FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rogério Leal to maneuver through the defense.
