Aprígio Fernandes who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 17thth minute tested the skills of Miguel Moreira when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Claudemiro Neves struck a weak shot in the 18th minute. Miguel Moreira didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Arrancosa FC. Norberto Leão kicked well hit freekick during the 20th minute of the match. If Júlio Ferro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 21st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. SC Lobito's Júlio Ferro got a good chance for a goal in the 28th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 30 played minutes Arrancosa FC got a freekick which was hit by Hildeberto Flores. Júlio Ferro scored 0-1 in the 32nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Frederico Lucena, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Frederico Lucena showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from João Abreu, who was totally free with the ball in the 36th minute. Júlio Ferro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 38th minute. Frederico Lucena tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 44 minutes of play, SC Lobito's Sérgio Vieira made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Frederico Lucena was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 47th minute, Claudemiro Neves fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Miguel Moreira, passed just outside the right post. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-2.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Claudemiro Neves made a kick off. Júlio Ferro might have been able to make a better finish in the 55th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Frederico Lucena. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Júlio Ferro ran back to his position shaking his head. When Júlio Ferro came up free with the goalie in the 57th minute, the SC Lobito fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Júlio Ferro couldn't finish the play. Júlio Ferro took the ball and in the 60 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Frederico Lucena. Frederico Lucena dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-3. Júlio Ferro could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 65th minute of the match, but Frederico Lucena made a huge save. In the 80th match minute, Arrancosa FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Norberto Leão to maneuver through the defense. João Abreu kicked well hit freekick during the 82nd minute of the match. Aprígio Fernandes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 85th minute. Miguel Moreira tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 87 minutes into the game, Arrancosa FC's Claudemiro Neves nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Miguel Moreira made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-4. Júlio Ferro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 91st minute. In the 97th minute João Abreu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Frederico Lucena saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. SC Lobito's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
