An unexpectedly hard shot by Alexandre Bessa in the 3rd minute of play forced SC Oriola's goalkeeper Daniel Dias to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With an extended leg and a bit of luck João Carneiro prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After 36 minutes, Jacinto Ferreira mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the SC Anciaes and the SC Oriola players grew even worse after the yellow card. When Artur Dantas came up free with the goalie in the 37th minute, the SC Oriola fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Artur Dantas couldn't finish the play. After 45 played minutes SC Oriola got a freekick which was hit by Artur Dantas. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The wind increased when Alexandre Bessa made the kick off in the second half. Alexandre Bessa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 53rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out.
