Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) After some careless play in the SC Anciaes defense, Pedro Sales kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of João Carneiro. The SC Anciaes fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that João Carneiro should have stopped the shot. 8 minutes into the game, Lucílio Maia was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Arsenal's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave SC Anciaes the free kick. In the 11th minute Alexandre Bessa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Paulo Lobato saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Arsenal's Hermenegildo Espinosa got a good chance for a goal in the 14th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 15 minutes into the match, Arsenal's Pedro Sales sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that João Carneiro narrowly saved just below the crossbar. With a little luck, Arsenal's Paulo Lobato got control of the ball when Mário Aguiar tried to sneak it across the goal line. If Alexandre Bessa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 21st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The audience was convinced that Pedro Sales's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but João Carneiro was relentless in the 24th minute of the game. When Alexandre Bessa came up free with the goalie in the 26th minute, the SC Anciaes fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Alexandre Bessa couldn't finish the play. When Lucas Nascimento fell near the penalty area in the 32nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Arsenal's protests and gave Lucas Nascimento a yellow card for diving instead. In the 32nd match minute, Arsenal was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Lucas Nascimento to maneuver through the defense. 33 minutes into the game, Augusto Guerreiro was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. SC Anciaes's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Arsenal the free kick. Marcelo Viana received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 35th minute. João Carneiro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. João Carneiro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Marcelo Viana, who was totally free with the ball in the 37th minute. SC Anciaes's João Carneiro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Pedro Sales in the 38th minute of play. Pedro Sales might have been able to make a better finish in the 45th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over João Carneiro. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Pedro Sales ran back to his position shaking his head. Mário Aguiar received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 48th minute. Paulo Lobato tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.

The wind increased when Pedro Sales made the kick off in the second half. Marcelo Viana sent away a hard shot on goal in the 54th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A collision led to SC Anciaes getting a freekick after 56 minutes play. Luís Assis hit a great ball. Mário Aguiar struck a weak shot in the 63rd minute. Paulo Lobato didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for SC Anciaes. Pedro Sales received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 70th minute. João Carneiro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Paulo Lobato stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Mário Aguiar's shot from short distance in the 78th minute. SC Anciaes's João Carneiro proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 82nd minute of the match, managed to save SC Anciaes from getting a goal against them. Marcelo Viana sent away a hard shot on goal in the 83rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Pedro Sales received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 83rd minute. João Carneiro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. João Carneiro didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Pedro Sales went, in the 90th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-3 was the resulting score. João Carneiro made a fantastic save in the 93rd minute, when Marcelo Viana sent off a good shot on target. The SC Anciaes supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Arsenal's performance. The match ended with a win for Arsenal.
