Curraloes's Angelo Liberato played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by André Nogueira in the 37th minute of play. Angelo Liberato took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Paulo Fernandes, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Oliveira Cabral during the 42nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to SC Palhais getting a freekick after 42 minutes play. Oliveira Cabral hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by André Nogueira in the 46th minute of play forced Curraloes's goalkeeper Angelo Liberato to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
